Immunosuppressive therapy for treatment of rejetion in renal transplantaton is inevitably associated with an increased risk of infection. Among them, Listeria monocytogenes in the one of the most important pathogens of meningitis. However, there
has
been rarely reporte in Korea. We hyere reporte a case of successful treatment of listeria meningitis in a renal transplant reipients who received immunosuppressants (steroid, azathioprine and cyclosporine) for several yeral years due to chronic
rejection. We confirmed Listeria monoytogenes by CSF culure and treated with ampicillin alone with good clinical outcome.
